Information & Letters for Parents
Partnership with Parents
We are really keen to gather the views of parents to help support our continued work to develop children’s enjoyment of reading, alongside their reading skills. Please could you spare 10 minutes to complete the following survey
We greatly value the support of parents and seek every opportunity to work in genuine partnership with all our families. Keeping parents informed about school news as well as their child’s progress and achievements is a key part of our commitment. We offer parents the opportunity to receive letters and information via email and text, as well as publishing details here on our website.
We want parents to be actively involved with their child’s learning and this is achieved through a range of ways, for example parents’ evenings, curriculum workshops and school events. Parents are also very welcome to make an appointment to see their child’s teacher at any time and staff are always happy to meet with you. Our official Parents’ Evenings are held termly, with a written report being sent home at the end of the Spring Term each year.
Parents (and Grandparents!) in school
Help with reading, cooking, gardening, sports clubs and special events are all an important part of our partnership with parents and we will always be pleased to see you! Every year parent helpers make an enormous difference to what we are able to offer the children at Heatherside and any time you can spare is greatly appreciated. (Kindly note that all helpers are required to undertake a DBS check.)
