Medicines in school

Medicines in school

To help parents, we are happy to administer most medicines during the school day.  A medical consent form is required in order for medicines to be given and this can be obtained from the School Office or downloaded below.

Any medication must be brought into school, and collected by, an adult. Children must not carry medicine about with them during the day (with the exception of an inhaler).  Parents are required to check the expiry dates of any medicine supplied to the school and to collect medicine at the end of the administration period/Term.  We are able to administer pain relief such as Calpol but ask that parents supply this if this is something that a child may require on a more regular basis.

A Medical information Form is sent home to all parents prior to their child joining the school and, where needed, a plan drawn up for any children with specific medical needs.

All Admin Staff are First Aid trained and work closely with parents to support children's needs.  Mrs Sally Soldat is the main point of contact but any of the Admin Team will be happy to help.
